The GRCS is the first lowering device to combine ease of setup, lifting power and dependable, tangle-free operation in one package.   This is the first lowering device to combine ease of setup, lifting power and dependable, tangle-free operation in one package. This tree mounted work station utilizes both a Harken rope winch or an aluminum rope brake. The work station has hinged side plates and nine rubber feet which provide solid mounting on a wide range of stem and pole diameters. A patented fairlead system positions the rope on the drum to eliminate crossovers during raising, lowering and side pulling operations. The mount weighs approximately 40lbs.-beefy enough to withstand heavy use, but compact enough to be quickly installed at the jobsite. The Harken 44:1 winch features a 2 speed gearing system that's self tailing, while the well thought out gearing puts enormous lifting and pulling power at your fingertips. The self tailer automatically holds the tension as a load is being raised so lifting or pulling can be accomplished by a single operator. The winch accepts 1/2" - 3/4" lowering lines. The aluminum rope brake features a 4" diameter tube welded to a base plate, with a cavity large enough for an ice pack to be placed inside, to prevent rope glazing during very extreme lowering situations. The Arbsession caraLINK v2 Rope Wrench Tether was developed with the goal of providing a compact, solid tether but incorporating a way to quickly connect it into the climbing system, without the bulk of tape at the top of the carabiner. Sewn by the Arbsession Splicing Team.  Our kits are built with the DMM Perfect O for the 8.5" tether and the DMM Ultra O for the 12" tether. Other carabiners can also work with the caraLINK v2! With one leg of the tether extending down then outside the spine of the carabiner you reduce the leverage effect at the top of the carabiner. Now this tether isn't designed to be super stiff. It is sewn with the tightest of tolerances. Now with the NEW caraLINK v2, once the tether is installed on the carabiner the gate can now fully open. This allows you to install it on the top of the DMM Triple Attachment Pulley or DMM Hitch Climber Eccentric with ease.  When you use a traditional stiff tether you end up having the legs of the hitch cord, stiff tether and slack tending pulley all squished at the top of the carabiner. Not with this system! Features: made out of Edelrid Powerloc Expert SP 6mm takes the bulk away from the hitch cord attachment carabiner (legs of hitch cord and stiff tether aren't squished together) the single leg of the tether runs around and along the outside of the spine to reduce leverage at the top of the carabiner streamlined system 8.5" or 12" total length with carabiner.
