ANSI Z133 Safety Standards

SKU: Z133

The Z133 standards serve as the industry benchmark for safety in tree care operations, providing essential guidelines to ensure the safe operation of a tree care business.

Updated in 2017 with valuable input from industry professionals, the ANSI Safety Requirements for Arboricultural Operations establish the gold standard for safety in tree work. While compliance with these standards is voluntary, it's worth noting that OSHA may reference sections of the Z133 when specific language isn't found in OSHA standards.

The Z133 covers a wide range of safety topics, including General Safety, Electrical Hazards, Use of Vehicles and Mobile Equipment, Portable Power Hand Tools, Hand Tools and Ladders, and Work Procedures. Additionally, it includes a glossary, log weight chart, aerial rescue workflow, and other helpful appendices to support safe practices in the field.
